More autumn fun

In November, Little Mr. Farwell had a visit from his favorite professor at the University of Minnesota, played with two of his best "law school" buddies, and delighted in our trip to Virginia for Thanksgiving (except for those 16 hours he spiked a fever and seemed to temporarily lose his zest for life).

A Born Runner?

After cheering Mom's running on this fall, Little Mr. Farwell was excited for his first running race in early November while Dad was in Japan.  From picking up the race shirt the day before to eating a good breakfast, it seemed that he might be a natural.  He hesitantly joined in the group stretch before the race started.  And then adamantly refused to run at all.  Until the festivities were over and he (and a good buddy) had the track to themselves.  Then he ran four laps around the high school gym without stopping.  And then fell asleep.  Maybe he's a natural solo runner?

Finally, he has the track to himself!
And then his dear friend, Miss B, joined in the fun.

Sesame Place

On the way to the Outer Banks, we had a great time at Sesame Place.  The rides were great, we're still singing songs from Elmo's rock concert, and we are quite sure that Little Mr. Farwell is not quite ready to meet large furry friends.

Beach Boy

We stretched out summer a bit by joining Nana and Grandad for some time on the Outer Banks the week after Labor Day.  Little Mr. Farwell loved digging in the sand, chasing birds, eating ice cream and playing mini golf for the first time (and even got a hole in one!).
